Join us for the September edition of AfroSwissters Breaking Barriers, our monthly online space for honest conversations, practical learning and collective growth.
This session focuses on recognising and articulating your professional value. Together, we will explore how to move beyond simply describing what we do and communicate the contribution, impact and potential behind our work.
In the Swiss professional context, where communication can be understated and career progression often depends on credibility, relationships and demonstrated results, making your value visible requires clarity and intention. This is not about becoming someone else or adopting a style that feels unnatural. It is about finding the language and evidence that allow others to understand what you bring.
Together, we will work on:
• identifying the strengths and experiences that distinguish you
• translating responsibilities into contributions and impact
• using results, numbers and evidence to demonstrate your value
• speaking about your achievements without diminishing yourself

• developing a clear and memorable professional introduction

This is not a traditional presentation. It is an interactive conversation shaped by the experiences, questions and knowledge in the room. You will have space to reflect, exchange practical insights and practise putting your value into words.
