Where connection, healing and growth become visible.

After we connect, heal and grow, we ask: What does it mean to flourish — not alone, but with connection, confidence and support around us?

Thrive is AfroSwissters’ pillar for long-term flourishing. It brings together the conversations, opportunities, partnerships and formats that help people in our network move with more visibility, agency and stability in Switzerland and beyond.

What Thrive means

Thrive is not about pretending that everything is easy. It is about creating conditions where people in our network can be seen, supported, resourced and taken seriously — in their careers, creative lives, businesses, families, communities and public presence.

It is where we think about opportunity, economic confidence, leadership, representation, access and the structures needed for our network to grow sustainably.

Through Connect, we build relationships and belonging. Through Heal, we create space for rest, reflection and recovery. Through Grow, we learn, develop and turn insight into action. Through Thrive, we look at what becomes possible when those foundations are in place.

From Connect, Heal and Grow — we Thrive

Thrive is about moving from survival to sustainability. From visibility to influence. From individual ambition to shared possibility.

What Thrive can include

Career and leadership conversations · entrepreneurship and business-building formats · financial confidence and economic empowerment topics · visibility, public speaking and personal positioning · access to networks, partners and opportunities · intergenerational exchange and role-model formats · collaborations with companies, institutions and funders · projects led by people in our network under the AfroSwissters umbrella · formats that help people move from insight to opportunity.

Why it matters

Many of us are asked to be resilient before we are properly resourced. Thrive asks a different question: What would it look like if our network had access to the rooms, relationships, tools and support needed to flourish with more ease?

This pillar is about possibility — but grounded possibility. Not empty empowerment. Not individual success stories only. Not pressure to constantly perform strength. Thrive is about building pathways, visibility and support that can last.

A growing pillar · Who it is for

Thrive is still developing. As AfroSwissters grows, this pillar will become home to more formats around careers, entrepreneurship, leadership, economic confidence, visibility and long-term infrastructure. We are especially interested in partnerships that help create access, opportunity and sustainable support for people in our network, in Switzerland and beyond.

Thrive is open to everyone who shares our values. Selected formats are created with partners, institutions and wider audiences, especially where collaboration can create meaningful access, resources or opportunities.
