AfroSwiss Men of Impact.

AfroSwiss Men of Impact, ASMOI, celebrates men of African descent who have helped shape Switzerland through leadership, creativity, knowledge, resistance, care, entrepreneurship, public service and sport. It is a researched first edition, not a claim to completeness: Switzerland has no full public archive of African-descendant lives, and many community builders have never received media coverage. ASMOI is not a ranking. It is a living, correctable archive, open to nominations.

106 men and counting

ASMOI recognises the full African continent and its diasporas: North, West, Central, East and Southern Africa, and African-descendant communities in the Caribbean, the Americas, Europe and elsewhere. Identities are always described in the terms each person chooses for himself.

Trans men are men. ASMOI welcomes nominations from trans men of African descent while protecting every person's right to privacy, safety and self-definition. Ethnicity, gender identity or personal history is never assumed from a name, photograph or rumour; inclusion is based on public self-identification or informed consent.

The German and French portraits were translated with AI. Corrections are welcome, through the form below.
