Pick the way in that fits you now.

You don't have to do everything.

Volunteer

What we're looking for.

AfroSwissters is growing, and we welcome people who want to contribute with care, reliability and respect for our mission. You do not need to be available all the time. We appreciate people who can contribute clearly, honestly and consistently — whether for one event, one project or an ongoing role.

Contribute to SPECTRUM

Voices, stories, and ideas that deserve more room.

SPECTRUM is where we explore Afro-diasporic identity, culture, belonging, womanhood, work, creativity, healing, ambition, memory and everyday life in Switzerland and beyond. You can contribute by pitching a written piece, an interview, a conversation, a podcast episode or a full format you would like to develop under the AfroSwissters umbrella. We especially welcome ideas that are thoughtful, grounded and connected to our network — intimate, cultural, political, creative, reflective or experimental.

What you can pitch

A podcast episode or conversation idea · an interview with someone in our network · a written reflection, essay or opinion piece · a cultural review or event reflection · a recurring column or content series · a roundtable, salon or live conversation · a workshop, gathering or event format · a storytelling project connected to identity, culture or belonging.

Bring your own format

AfroSwissters is not only a platform to attend — it is also a space to build through. If you have an idea for a podcast, event, circle, conversation format, cultural experience or project that aligns with our mission, we want to hear from you.

Selected ideas may be developed under the AfroSwissters umbrella, with support around framing, access to our network, visibility, partnerships and structure. We are especially interested in formats that can grow with care and become part of our wider Connect, Heal, Grow or Thrive pillars.

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. A clear idea, honest intention and willingness to shape it together is enough to begin the conversation.

Include a short description of your idea, who it is for, why it matters, and what kind of support you are looking for.
