About Maraki

Maraki is a Holistic Coach and Consultant specializing in burnout recovery. She supports women navigating multiple identities, cultural expectations, and the often invisible labor of constant adaptation and code switching. Her work is shaped by both lived experience and a background in anthropology, research, and humanitarian work. Having lived in Switzerland and across different countries, she brings a culturally aware and grounded perspective to the realities many women face across environments. Her connection to AfroSwissters emerged through a clear alignment in values and lived understanding. As she describes it, the idea that Black women exist everywhere, across countries, cultures, and spaces, reflects exactly what her work addresses. Burnout, exhaustion, and the weight of navigating multiple worlds are not limited to one geography. Neither is the need to heal. Her approach, Introspection and Action, focuses on understanding what is truly draining your energy and working through the patterns beneath the surface. This process is individual, requires honesty, and unfolds at a pace that is sustainable. At the core of her work is a simple but often overlooked shift. Moving from constantly being strong for others to allowing yourself to become your own priority. Not as an afterthought, but as a starting point. As she puts it, she knows this work because she has lived it. Years of thinking exhaustion was normal, until she realised it was not. That journey now shapes how she supports others in creating change that is grounded, embodied, and built to last.

OFFERING

Let Yourself Heal — by Maraki

Introspection and Action

Maraki Gru is a Holistic Coach and Consultant in personal and professional development. Her work focuses on burnout recovery, emotional awareness, and creating sustainable ways of living and working.

Her approach combines introspection and action. It starts with understanding what is draining your energy, and continues with building structures, boundaries, and habits that support lasting change.

As she puts it, exhaustion is not inevitable. The work is about rebuilding balance without sacrificing what truly matters.

APPROACH & AREAS OF WORK

A holistic approach to sustainable change

Maraki’s work is grounded in a simple but powerful idea. Lasting transformation requires both reflection and movement. Her practice focuses on four core areas:

Introspection
Understanding your patterns, emotions, and internal dynamics. This is where clarity begins.

Stress Management
Learning to navigate pressure differently and respond to challenges without depletion.

Personalised Coaching
Tailored support based on your individual situation, pace, and needs. There is no standard model.

Life Balance
Creating a daily life that reflects your values, energy, and long-term wellbeing.

Each process begins with a first session designed to create a space of trust. Together, you reflect on your current state, define your objectives, and assess whether the approach is aligned with your needs. From there, a personalised structure is developed, with clear steps and ongoing support.

BACKGROUND & PERSPECTIVE

Maraki’s work is shaped by a diverse and people-centred background.

With a degree in anthropology and development, she began her career in sociological and scientific research before moving into the humanitarian sector. Across these experiences, a consistent focus remained. Understanding human behaviour and supporting people through complexity.

A turning point came when she recognised that her own pace of life and work was no longer sustainable. Like many others, she realised she had lost connection to herself. This led her to step back, reassess, and rebuild from a place of awareness.

This personal journey now informs her work.

Her approach is:

  • Analytical, shaped by research and structured thinking

  • Adaptive, grounded in real-life complexity

  • Human, informed by lived experience and empathy

  • Multicultural, shaped by navigating different environments and perspectives

She works in both English and French and adapts her approach to each individual context.

Her aim is not to offer quick solutions, but to create a space where real, lasting transformation becomes possible.

WHY THIS SPACE EXISTS

Healing is not a side note. It is foundational to how we connect, grow, and move forward.

For many in our community, pressure builds quietly over time. Navigating different environments and expectations often means carrying both visibility and invisibility at once. You stand out, yet are not always truly seen. This tension shapes how we move, how we relate to ourselves, and how much energy it takes to show up. Over time, it can lead to exhaustion, disconnection, and quiet burnout.

This space exists to make these experiences visible. To name what is often left unspoken, and to create room for reflection, understanding, and more sustainable ways of moving forward.
