Amina charles

Hi, my name is Amina Charles.

I’m a builder, strategist, entrepreneur, and advocate for women’s health with a sharp instinct for growth and a deep commitment to helping women thrive.

After moving from New York to Switzerland, I joined the AfroSwissters core team in late June 2026 as Venture Philanthropy & Strategic Partnerships Lead, bringing with me over 15 years of experience across marketing, product, communications, and business strategy.

Amina Charles is a marketing executive, entrepreneur, and women’s health advocate with more than 15 years of experience spanning digital marketing, product marketing, communications, customer engagement, and business strategy. Over the course of her career, she has worked across both high-growth and global organisations, building a strong track record in growth, brand development, customer experience, and strategic leadership.

She has held leadership roles at companies including Amazon, Oscar Health, Zendesk, and Travelex, where she worked across areas such as product marketing, digital strategy, communications, and customer growth. Her professional background sits at the intersection of commercial thinking, storytelling, innovation, and operational execution — with a particular strength in translating ideas into scalable products, services, and experiences.

Amina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Communications and a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing. She is currently pursuing an Executive MBA through the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and ETH Zurich, deepening her work at the intersection of strategy, leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Alongside her corporate career, Amina is also a founder and builder. She is the Founder and CEO of Nurture Care, a technology-enabled marketplace focused on improving access to reproductive and women’s health services across fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause. She is also the Founder and CEO of Texture Theory, a European education platform dedicated to advancing textured hair expertise through professional training, industry events, and community-building opportunities for beauty professionals.

Her entrepreneurial work is deeply shaped by lived experience — including pregnancy loss, motherhood, and postpartum recovery — which has informed her commitment to creating more equitable, inclusive, and accessible opportunities for women and families.

For this inaugural AfroSwissters Book Circle edition, Amina brings together her experience in business, leadership, growth, and personal reinvention to lead a workshop designed to help women move from insight to action with greater clarity, ownership, and intention.
