As part of our Saturday at VOLTA VIP Art Event, we are giving away a limited number of free tickets for Africa Basel: Film, Talk & Bubbly — an evening of film, conversation, identity, and belonging during Basel Art Week.
You can attend and explore the Africa Basel fair on your own at any time on Saturday. Our AfroSwissters programme at VOLTA starts at 15:00, and the Africa Basel film programme follows afterwards.
The programme includes a screening of Je suis Noires, the acclaimed documentary by Rachel M’Bon and Juliana Fanjul. The film centres the experiences of Black women in Switzerland and opens up important questions around racism, invisibility, representation, and what it means to belong.
