THE SPECTRUM
Blog & Podcast
The AfroSwissters Spectrum is our blog and podcast.
It is a platform for women of African descent to share perspectives, experiences, and expertise — in writing and in conversation. Rooted in Switzerland but not limited to it, we think locally and globally.
There is no single Black story. Different histories, identities, professions, and horizons shape who we are. The Spectrum reflects that diversity.
Our aim is visibility, connection, and empowerment.

I woke up at 4h50 because, not following the private jet memo, I decided to take the 6h SBB train there. As I enter my wagon, all I see is white, from the light illuminating the train to the people. An older man (is he Swiss?) stares at me as if I were an alien. Nice to meet you, alien superstar.
